Herd Health
Our herds health is of paramount importance to us.

We feel that its very critical to let our goats develop their immune system to
combat minor health issues, but we do not hesitate to intervene with
appropriate medical treatment when required.

CD/T vaccinations are given to kids at 4 and 8 weeks of age with mature
animals receiving annual booster shots.

The whole herd is routinely wormed three to four times a year.

We do periodic checks for CAE, and with a new program in Colorado, we
are now setting up an annual whole herd testing program.

At this time we have never had a positive CAE result.

Living in the high desert, pasture is often scarce so we feed a grass/alfalfa mix
hay year round.

Our doe herd is on a 14% grain ration
and bucks and young stock are on a 9% grain ration.

We guarantee any Nigerian purchased from our herd will be healthy and
ready to go to work for their new owners.
